How ComplianceSME verifies what it publishes

ComplianceSME, the organisation, is the publisher and the author of every page on this site. Pages are not attributed to individual writers, and the site does not carry personal bylines or author biography pages. The method behind a page, not a named individual, is what stands behind its accuracy.

Every regulatory date published on this site, including deadlines, application dates and entry-into-force dates, is checked against the official published legal text: the enacted statute, regulation or official journal entry, rather than secondary commentary about it. The date on which a check was carried out is recorded internally as that page's verification date.

Where a page shows a verification or last-updated date, that date reflects when the page was last checked against its source. It is kept separate from any deadline or event date the page describes, so a future compliance date is never presented as the page's own publication or update date.

Published sources on the same regulatory question sometimes disagree, for example where commentary states a date or a threshold differently from the underlying legal text. Where a conflict is found, it is recorded internally against the source register, and the published page is set to match the official legal text.

ComplianceSME does not publish opinion, commentary framed as personal viewpoint, or editorial argument. Every page states factual information: what a compliance system requires, when a duty applies, and what changed and when.

Content on this site is produced and checked through a structured, repeatable process, not by individual writers working independently to their own judgement. The register of instruments, the working files behind each compliance system, and the dated entries on this site are all built and maintained through that same process.
