Terms of sale
Effective 9 July 2026
1. What you are buying
ComplianceSME sells compliance documentation systems. Each system is a set of digital files that you download and run with your own AI subscription. The system interviews you about your business, collects your evidence, and produces compliance documentation for a specific regulation or standard.
These are digital goods. Nothing physical is shipped. The systems are documentation tools. They are not legal advice, and they do not replace professional counsel where your circumstances require it.
2. Delivery
Your files are available for download in your account immediately after payment is confirmed. Delivery is complete when the files appear in your account.
3. Licence
Each purchase grants a single entity licence. The system may be used for the compliance of one legal entity, the entity named in your account. Using one purchase to produce documentation for multiple legal entities requires a separate purchase for each entity.
You may not resell, redistribute, or publish the files. You may share them internally with the people who work on your compliance.
4. Membership
Membership is a monthly subscription. It covers every system you own. Each month, every regulation behind a member-owned system is checked against its source text, amending instruments, implementing and delegated acts, and official guidance. Where a change is found, an update file is produced and placed in your account, and you are notified by email. Where nothing has changed, you receive nothing, because there is nothing to send.
You may cancel at any time. Cancellation stops future update files. It does not affect the systems you have already downloaded.
5. Refunds
These are digital goods under UK consumer law. By downloading your files you consent to immediate supply and acknowledge that the statutory fourteen day cancellation period ends at that point.
If a system is faulty, incomplete, or not as described, contact support. You are entitled to a repair, a replacement, or a refund in line with the Consumer Rights Act 2015.
6. Prices and VAT
All prices are in pounds sterling. Prices are stated exclusive of VAT. Where VAT applies to your purchase, it is shown at checkout before you pay.
7. Your inputs and your outputs
Every output the systems produce is built from the information you provide. If you enter incorrect data, the documentation will be incorrect. If you omit information, the documentation will be incomplete. You are responsible for the accuracy and completeness of what you enter, and for verifying outputs against the source instrument before relying on them.
ComplianceSME accepts no liability for compliance failures, regulatory penalties, or other consequences arising from inaccurate, incomplete, or false input data.
8. Liability
Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law. Subject to that, ComplianceSME's total liability in connection with any purchase is limited to the price you paid for it.
9. Payments
Payments are processed by Stripe. ComplianceSME never sees or stores your card details. Your payment record in Stripe is the register of what you own and is used to deliver your update files.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction over any dispute.
11. Changes
If the way the service operates changes, these terms change the same day. The effective date at the top of this page tells you when it was last revised.
