Breach of contract claims in Scotland gain the six month tribunal limit on 9 November 2026

On 9 November 2026 the six month employment tribunal time limit extends to breach of contract claims in Scotland. It follows the wider six month limit that started on 1 October 2026.

The effect is the same as the earlier change, applied to a narrower class of claim. A breach of contract dispute stays live for six months rather than three. Breach of contract claims were left out of the October change, and this date brings them in.
