This toolkit organises the duties of Government Regulation No. 395/2006 on minimum requirements for providing and using personal protective equipment into two working files of open questions, with the statutory text carried verbatim beside each duty.

Included from the Micro level.

Every toolkit in the level is included; nothing is bought one by one.

The businesses it reaches

The instrument concerns employers whose staff use personal protective equipment at work, including construction firms, manufacturing plants, warehouses and agricultural holdings. It governs how such equipment is provided, used and assessed for risk. The toolkit serves these businesses through two working files of open questions answered from the business's own records.

The first working file covers the provision of personal protective equipment, including the duties set out in Section 2(1) and Section 3(3). The second working file covers risk assessment and the selection of equipment, including the duties set out in Section 4(1) and Section 6(5). Each section is served through a connector inside Claude, and the documents that come back are dated compliance reports the business keeps in its own file.

The toolkit never gives advice and never presents a perspective; it carries what the authority wrote, organised. The statutory text is carried verbatim beside each duty, so a business reads the authority's words alongside each open question.

Questions and answers

Which businesses fall under this regulation?

The regulation reaches employers whose staff use personal protective equipment at work, such as construction firms, manufacturing plants, warehouses and agricultural holdings. It applies wherever work exposes people to risks that require such equipment. The toolkit organises the duties for any such business through open questions answered from its own records.

What does the first working file cover?

The first working file covers the provision of personal protective equipment, including the duties set out in Section 2(1) and Section 3(3). It walks through the open questions a business answers about how equipment is issued and used. The statutory text sits beside each duty.

What does the second working file cover?

The second working file covers risk assessment and the selection of personal protective equipment, including the duties set out in Section 4(1) and Section 6(5). It asks the business to work through its own records on how risks are assessed and equipment chosen. Each duty is shown with the authority's words.

How are the sections delivered?

Sections are served through a connector inside Claude. Nothing is downloaded and nothing is installed. The business answers the open questions within that environment.

What documents come back from the toolkit?

The documents that come back are dated compliance reports. The business keeps them in its own file. They record the answers given to the open questions for that point in time.

Does the toolkit tell a business what to do?

The toolkit never gives advice and never presents a perspective; it carries what the authority wrote, organised. It sets out open questions and places the statutory text beside each duty. The business answers from its own records.

Where does the statutory wording appear?

The statutory text is carried verbatim beside each duty. A business reads the authority's exact words next to the open question it is answering. This keeps the source visible throughout the working file.

What does a business need to answer the open questions?

A business answers the open questions from its own records. These may include equipment issue logs, risk assessments and training records. The toolkit organises the questions; the business supplies the facts.

Can the toolkit be used by a business with no compliance staff?

The toolkit presents open questions in plain phases that a business answers from its own records. It carries the authority's words beside each duty, so the source is visible without a separate legal library. The dated compliance reports give the business a record of its answers.

How does the toolkit handle the regulation's structure?

The toolkit divides the instrument's obligations into two working files by subject: provision and use of equipment in the first, risk assessment and selection in the second. Each file groups open questions into phases. The statutory text is shown beside each duty, and the business works through the questions in the order presented.
