The policy moved. The archive did not.

Regulation (EU) 2026/1744 rewrote the EU AI Act's dates six days before they bit. Two years of published guidance now states the wrong law, none of it has been retracted, and AI tools answer from that archive. The fault is not the model.

Regulation (EU) 2026/1744, the Digital Omnibus on AI, published in the Official Journal of 24 July 2026 as OJ L, 2026/1744, entering into force on 27 July 2026 under its Article 4, and rewriting Article 113 of Regulation (EU) 2024/1689 by Article 1, point (40): Regulation (EU) 2026/1744, Official Journal text. High-risk duties starting on 2 December 2027 for systems under Article 6(2) and Annex III and on 2 August 2028 for systems under Article 6(1) and Annex I: Regulation (EU) 2026/1744, Article 1, point (40)(b), new Article 113, third paragraph, points (c)(i) and (c)(ii).
