tekst jednolity, pełne obwieszczenie, Dz.U. 2026 poz. 1244 · Poland · Binding instrument
This toolkit organises the duties of Poland's Consumer Rights Act into nine working files, with open questions and the statutory text beside each duty.
Included from the Micro level.
Every toolkit in the level is included; nothing is bought one by one.
The businesses it reaches
The Act of 30 May 2014 on consumer rights reaches businesses that deal with consumers in Poland: online sellers and distance traders, employers handling employee data, producers and importers answering for goods, and businesses that supply digital content or digital services. It also reaches businesses that take back goods and bear the cost of collection, and those that owe a repair, a replacement or a price refund. The nine working files walk through these duties by subject, each file gathering the open questions a business answers from its own records.
The files cover the protection of personal data in consumer dealings, the burden of proof resting on the business, and the documentation the business keeps. They set out the prohibition on certain practices, the duty to return goods, and the collection of goods at the business's cost. They also cover the duty to repair or replace, the duty to refund the price, and the duty to supply the latest version of digital content or a digital service. The statutory text is carried verbatim beside each duty.
Sections are served through a connector inside Claude, and the documents that come back are dated compliance reports the business keeps in its own file. The toolkit never gives advice and never presents a perspective; it carries what the authority wrote, organised.

Questions and answers
Which businesses does this Act reach?
It reaches businesses that conclude contracts with consumers in Poland, including online sellers, distance traders, employers handling personal data, producers and importers answering for goods, and suppliers of digital content or digital services. A business that takes back goods, bears the cost of collection, or owes a repair, a replacement or a price refund also falls within its scope.
What does the toolkit contain?
It is a set of nine working files that organise the Act's obligations into phases of open questions. A business answers those questions from its own records, and the statutory text sits beside each duty.
How are the sections delivered?
Sections are served through a connector inside Claude. The business works through them in the tool it already uses, and the documents that come back are dated compliance reports kept in its own file.
What does the file on personal data protection cover?
It covers the duties a business owes when it handles personal data in consumer dealings, including the information it must give and the limits on how it may use that data. The open questions guide the business to state what it holds and how it obtained it.
Who bears the burden of proof when a consumer complains?
The file on the burden of proof sets out when the business must show that it met its duties. The open questions ask the business to identify the records that demonstrate compliance, and the statutory text is carried beside each duty.
What documentation must a business keep?
The file on documentation sets out the records a business must hold and the periods for which it keeps them. The open questions ask the business to list the documents it maintains and where they are stored.
Which practices are prohibited?
The file on the prohibition sets out the practices the Act forbids in consumer dealings. The open questions ask the business to review its terms and its conduct against each prohibition, and the statutory text is carried beside each duty.
When must a business take back goods and bear the cost?
The file on the duty to return goods and the file on collection at the business's cost set out when a consumer may send goods back and who pays for their collection. The open questions ask the business to state its procedure and the records it keeps for each return.
When does a business owe a repair, a replacement or a price refund?
The file on repair or replacement and the file on refunding the price set out the circumstances in which each duty arises. The open questions ask the business to record the defect, the remedy chosen and the refund made, with the statutory text beside each duty.
What does the duty to supply the latest version cover?
It covers the supply of the latest version of digital content or a digital service to the consumer. The open questions ask the business to state how it delivers updates and how it records each delivery.
