This Toolkit organises the Arbeitsstättenverordnung into two working files of open questions, with the statutory text carried beside each duty.

Included from the Micro level.

Every toolkit in the level is included; nothing is bought one by one.

The businesses it reaches

The Arbeitsstättenverordnung sets out how employers in Germany must set up, run and maintain workplaces, including rooms, traffic routes, safety and health signage, and the guarding of hazardous areas. It reaches every business that provides a place where people work, from small workshops and retail premises to offices, warehouses and production sites. The Toolkit covers this instrument alone, in two working files.

The first working file deals with the general duties on employers: setting up workplaces to meet the requirements, assessing hazards, and the arrangements for safety and health protection at the workplace. The second working file covers the provisions on the individual workplace areas and equipment, including the requirements for rooms, lighting, ventilation, temperature and the safety of work equipment and traffic routes.

Each working file turns the obligations into phases of open questions that a business answers from its own records, with the statutory text carried beside each duty. Sections are served through a connector inside Claude, and the documents that come back are dated compliance reports the business keeps in its own file. The Toolkit never gives advice and never presents a perspective; it carries what the authority wrote, organised.

Questions and answers

Which businesses does the Arbeitsstättenverordnung apply to?

It applies to every employer who provides a workplace in Germany, whether an office, a shop, a workshop, a warehouse or a production site. The duties attach to the employer, and the Toolkit is built for the business that has to meet them.

What does the first working file cover?

It covers the general duties on employers, including how workplaces are set up to meet the requirements and how hazards are assessed. The obligations are arranged as phases of open questions a business answers from its own records.

What does the second working file cover?

It covers the provisions on the individual workplace areas and equipment, such as rooms, lighting, ventilation, temperature, work equipment and traffic routes. Each duty is presented with the statutory text beside it.

How are the two working files organised?

Each file groups the obligations into phases of open questions, and a business works through them using its own records. The statutory text sits beside each duty so the source can be read directly.

How is the Toolkit delivered?

Sections are served through a connector inside Claude. Nothing is downloaded and nothing is installed.

What do I receive at the end?

The documents that come back are dated compliance reports. The business keeps them in its own file.

Does the Toolkit tell me what to do about a hazard?

The Toolkit never gives advice and never presents a perspective; it carries what the authority wrote, organised. A business reads the statutory text and answers the open questions from its own records.

Which version of the Arbeitsstättenverordnung is used?

The Toolkit works from the Arbeitsstättenverordnung vom 12. August 2004 (BGBl. I S. 2179), zuletzt geändert durch Artikel 10 des Gesetzes vom 27. März 2024 (BGBl. 2024 I Nr. 109). The statutory text is carried as the authority wrote it.

Can the Toolkit be used by a business with several sites?

The open questions are answered from the business's own records, so a business with several sites can work through them site by site. Each set of answers leads to a dated compliance report kept in the business's file.

Do I need to know German law to use the Toolkit?

The Toolkit presents the obligations as open questions in plain language, with the statutory text beside each duty. A business answers from its own records, and the resulting reports record what was answered.
