A set of ten working files that organise Decreto-Lei n.º 24/2012 into phases of open questions on chemical agents at work, with the statutory text carried verbatim beside each duty.

Included from the Micro level.

Every toolkit in the level is included; nothing is bought one by one.

The businesses it reaches

This instrument concerns employers whose activities expose workers to chemical agents, including manufacturing and processing businesses, construction firms, cleaning and maintenance providers, laboratories, waste producers and online sellers who handle or store chemical products. It consolidates the minimum requirements for protecting workers against risks to safety and health arising from exposure to chemical agents at work. The toolkit organises the duties it sets into phases of open questions that the business answers from its own records.

The working files walk through the prohibition of certain agents and the conditions attached to authorisations, the assessment of risk and the technical or organisational measures that follow, the measurement of exposure, and the health and safety duties that run alongside. Each section carries the statutory text beside the duty it describes, so the business reads the authority's words in the same place as the question it must answer.

The sections are served through a connector inside Claude, and the documents that come back are dated compliance reports the business keeps in its own file. The toolkit never gives advice and never presents a perspective; it carries what the authority wrote, organised.

Questions and answers

Which businesses fall within the scope of this instrument?

The instrument reaches employers whose activities involve chemical agents at work, from industrial processing and construction to cleaning, laboratories, waste handling and online selling of chemical products. The working files are built around the duties that apply to those activities, so a business can locate the questions that match its own operations.

How are the ten working files organised?

Each working file covers a subject area of the instrument, such as prohibitions, risk assessment, technical or organisational measures, exposure measurement and health and safety duties. The files present open questions in phases, and the business answers them from its own records.

What does the toolkit produce at the end of the questions?

The documents that come back are dated compliance reports the business keeps in its own file. They record the answers the business gave, drawn from its own records, against the duties the instrument sets.

How is the toolkit delivered and used?

The sections are served through a connector inside Claude. The business works through the open questions there, and nothing is downloaded or installed.

Where does the legal wording come from?

The statutory text is carried verbatim beside each duty, taken from Decreto-Lei n.º 24/2012, de 6 de fevereiro, in the consolidated version of 6 de janeiro de 2021. The business reads the authority's words in the same place as the question it must answer.

Which file deals with prohibited chemical agents?

The first working file covers the prohibition of certain agents and the conditions attached to authorisations under Article 5.º, n.º 1. It sets the open questions a business answers about the agents it uses or stores.

Which file covers risk assessment?

The second working file addresses the assessment of risks from chemical agents, under Article 7.º, n.º 7. It asks the business to set out, from its own records, how exposure is identified and assessed.

Which files cover technical and organisational measures?

Two working files address technical or organisational measures, one under Article 11.º, n.º 1 and the other under Article 11.º, n.º 3, alínea e). Together they walk through the measures the instrument requires and the questions a business answers about them.

Which file covers the measurement of exposure?

The fifth working file addresses the measurement of exposure under Article 13.º, n.º 1. It sets open questions on how the business measures and records exposure to chemical agents.

Which files cover health and safety duties?
